Select Lifestyles

Throne Road – Our new upcoming Day centre

Select Lifestyles and Bond Wolfe continue their strong partnership and broker yet another deal together.

The newly obtained Rowley Regis property caught Select Lifestyles attention due to the nature of the building itself, particularly its sheer size and multitude of rooms, and what opportunities this new venture could open for the business in line with it’s plans of future growth.

As a provider of supportive services for adults with learning disabilities and complex care needs already operating across 22 sites, Select Lifestyles are always on the hunt for properties with added potential of expanding on their already vast portfolio. Their portfolio thus far consists of purpose-built properties, adaptive reuse of once dilapidated buildings and churches as well as numerous smaller family-style homes.

The 10-year lease enables Select Lifestyles to have big plans for the large detached property, due to open as a multi-functioning day centre for the people they support. This new venture has already commenced with planned works and the company are looking to open its new day centre toward the end of this year around November time.

The new Rowley Regis based day centre will expand on Select Lifestyles existing day services based in Dudley. Plans for the multitude of rooms have been identified and include sensory rooms, music rooms, arts and crafts as well as incorporating two large classrooms where Select Lifestyles will offer ASDAN and several vocational courses. These will be available to all who attend the day centre as well as offering courses to the people they already support across all their other services.

Les Trumpeter, Chairman at Select Lifestyles, commented: “Our 5 to 10-year plan is to open a day service within each West Midland combined authority council area. This is our second day service and will be a huge asset to Select Lifestyles as it will enable us to offer extended services to all the people we support as well as to prospective clients. We appreciate Bond Wolfe’s contributions to helping us toward achieving our plans, already having obtained several properties through the agency to date.”
